Electromagnetic flowmeter is a general term, which generally comes in two types: integrated and split type. The integrated flow sensor and flow transmitter are most commonly integrated onto the flowmeter body. The split type generally integrates the flow sensor and flow meter body, and the flow transmitter is installed on site as a separate conversion body. The flow rate signal sensed by the flow sensor is converted into a weak electrical signal, which must be processed by the flow transmitter before it can be converted into a standard signal (4-20mA). At the same time, the transmitter also has extended functions such as flow accumulation, alarm output, and intelligent communication. A transmitter generally consists of a signal acquisition unit, a signal processing unit, and a power supply unit. The advantage of the split type is that it can reduce the impact of temperature and vibration on the transmitter in places with high temperatures and excessive vibration, extending its service life. For some flow meters installed at high positions, the split type can also be installed at a lower position for easy maintenance. Of course, there are certain length requirements for the cable between the split type flow transmitter and the high defect flow sensor, which should be specified when selecting.
